Stylish Decor, exotic drinks and excellent food are a few reasons why Eau Lounge quickly became a one of New York’s favorite after hour hot spots. A Tribe Called Quest’s super DJ Q-Tip packed the house each Thursday night in the Flatiron District. Merola designed logo, signage, menus and invitations.

Bridgewaters Restaurant located in New York’s South Street Seaport features panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Brooklyn skyline making it the perfect place to host seated dinners, weddings, benefits, and corporate functions.

Original restaurant graphics designed for One & One. The previous business to occupy this space on the corner of First Street and First Avenue, caught fire and stayed empty for years until One and One reopened it’s doors in the spring of 1998. Fire red painted walls and church candles created a a cozy glow to this Irish pub.
Menu design, candles matches and room dividers were also designed.

The Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter spring fund raiser invitation
The Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter is a not-for-profit organization that provides housing and supportive services to the homeless men and women of New York City.
The “Swing into Spring” benefit was held at New York’s legendary Copacabana. Save-the-date postcards, invitations, and sponsor guest books were created for the dinner. Merola design also created the NCS corporate identity as well.

New logo design for Buster Brown clothing
Being asked to update an icon that’s over 100 years old was both an honor and a challenge. A study was done to determine which of the brand attributes were most recognizable and which of those could be updated or eliminated. The style of Buster’s hat was the topic of much debate. After many, many redraws, this version of Tige the dog was determined to be the most cuddly. Sid Edwards was the illustrator.
Hang tags and look books were also designed.

Logo and identity for Alison Rose New York
New York interior designer Alison Rose asked Robert Merola to create a new logo design and corporate identity for her design business. In addition to business papers a bridal package was created. A simple black square defines the logotype and a customized Helvetica Neue in various weights completes the understated identity. Visit the website.
