Office.com provides information on how to start a small business and provided a Virtual Office suite, Online Collaboration Software, Online Calendar, Groupware, and web based email for your small business made Office.com an ambitious and helpful resource.
In August 2009 Microsoft bought the url to promote their Office Suite.
Merola Design created the Office.com identity in 1990 and collaborated with New York branding agency nick+paul and developed brand style guides and promotional materials for the start-up.

Lumosity.com developed a set of online games and exercises scientifically designed to improve memory, attention, processing speed and other important cognitive functions. Users who complete the basic training course improve their BPI (Brain Performance Index) by 480 point, what ever that means. The games are fun and engaging. Slick charts track your progress.

New look for New York label
Komitor has been a family owned and run wholesaler specializing in the manufacturing of women’s plus size outerwear since 1946. For three generations they have had a loyal clientele selling to some of the biggest retailers in New York. More recently their market share has been in a slide. The global marketplace has made it easy for retailers to buy direct from oversees manufactures. Komitor recognized the need to develop a strong brand identity. Merola Design was brought in to create a consumer friendly brand. Starting with a new corporate identity and tag line and follow through with hang tags stationary website and showroom signage and website as well.

A&E network and History Channel corporate standards guidelines
In 1995 while part of William Snyder Design, our team was given the assignment to redesign the A&E network and The History Channel’s corporate identities. Each of these identities were being eroded and mismanaged and needed guidelines. We created a thirty-two page graphic standards manual for each company to help maintain usage and consistency. Topics covered include, logo variants, rules for logo use, color control and reproduction materials.

No More White Walls Design Competition logo
Merola Design created the logo and poster for the Wallpaper Council’s No More White Walls Design Competition promotion.
The promotion was designed to encourage students to get involved in the wallpaper industry. The three winners and four honorable mentions were presented with over $10,000 in scholarship awards from The Wallpaper Council.

Stylish Decor, exotic drinks and excellent food are a few reasons why Eau Lounge quickly became a one of New York’s favorite after hour hot spots. A Tribe Called Quest’s super DJ Q-Tip packed the house each Thursday night in the Flatiron District. Merola designed logo, signage, menus and invitations.
