Intro­duc­tion

Robert Merola is a New York City based graphic designer and pres­i­dent of Merola Design, a small graphic design firm that spe­cial­izes in cor­po­rate iden­tity, logo design, print projects and web design.

For the past decade Robert Merola has been per­fect­ing his unique process of cre­at­ing con­cept dri­ven, effec­tive and mem­o­rable visual communications.

Known for his clean typo­graphic logos, he has designed cor­po­rate iden­ti­ties for dozens of nation­ally rec­og­nized brands and has accu­mu­lated numer­ous awards for his adver­tis­ing and graphic design work.

Merola has col­lab­o­rated with some the best of New York’s cre­ative and busi­ness pro­fes­sion­als and is pas­sion­ately attached to the diverse and rich cre­ative envi­ron­ment that only a New York design studio provides.

Merola is a mem­ber of the AIGA and con­tin­ues his pro­fes­sional devel­op­ment by attend­ing courses, sem­i­nars, con­fer­ences and networking opportunities.

After attend­ing The School of Visual Arts for Graphic Design, Merola worked at J.Crew design­ing cat­a­log edi­to­r­ial and collateral materials.

At William Sny­der Design, NY he cre­ated enter­tain­ment graph­ics and cor­po­rate iden­tity stan­dards for A&E Tele­vi­sion, and The History Channel.

Merola worked as Art Direc­tor than Cre­ative Direc­tor at Meier Brand, NY where he cre­ated adver­tis­ing cam­paigns, devel­oped brand strate­gies and press mate­ri­als for national and inter­na­tional clients includ­ing: Bulova, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Mar­tex, DeBeers and JC Penny.

As Cre­ative Direc­tor at Look Adver­tis­ing Merola worked devel­oped brand strate­gies for Avon, Godiva, Levitz, HON Office Fur­ni­ture, Christ­mas Tree Shops and Amer­i­can Express.
